Major Club T20 Cricket Moors SC continue winning spree

Moors SC continued their winning spree in the ongoing Major Club T20 cricket tournament when they recorded their third successive when they defeated Kurunegala YCC by 39 runs in the match played at the SSC ground.
The architect of their win was the half tons made by Pabasara Waduge who hit 64 in 42 balls inclusive of six boundaries and two sixes and an unbeaten 55 by Dinuka Dilshan who together put on a stand of 91 runs for the second wicket for Moors SC taking first lease of the wicket to make a challenging score of 180 for 5.

Later Moors SC bowling pair Chathuranga de Silva and Ayana Siriwardena who together shared seven wickets between combined to restrict the Kurunegala YCC batting for a score of 141 runs.

Navy SC and Lankan CC recorded their first win of the tournament when they defeated Kalutara TC by 11 runs and Ace Capital CC by one-wicket in the matches played at the NCC and CCC grounds.

Meanwhile the three matches in the evening session played at the same venues ended in no results with the match being abandoned due to heavy rain.
