Bloomfield C&AC and NCC booked their berths to the final of the Major Club T20 tournament when they came out on top in the two semi finals played at P. Sara Stadium yesterday.
The two matches were hampered by rain with one match being abandoned without a ball being bowled which was between BRC and NCC played in the morning session. The match was decided on a toss of a coin which NCC succeeded.
The other match between Moors SC and Bloomfield got off to a late start with the match being curtailed to eight overs saw Bloomfield pulling off a thrilling four wicket win with three balls to spare.
Moors SC invited to take first lease of the wicket made a challenging score of 70 and Bloomfield in their run chase lost their top five wickets with the score on 31 and was guided by Lahiru Madusanka who cracked 26 in 12 balls and skipper Nipun Karunanayake who made 21 in eight balls
The final is scheduled to be played on June 28 at the same venue.
