Sri Lanka concluded the Under-19 Women’s T20 Tri-Series 2024 on a high by defeating New Zealand by seven runs in a thrilling encounter played at the Bill Pippen Oval, Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia yesterday.

Skipper Manudi Nanayakkara led from the front by top scoring for the Islanders. Player of the Match Nanayakkara scored 41 which included five boundaries and one six.

In addition, Vimoksha Balasuriya continued her good form with a contribution of 24, which took Sri Lanka to a respectable total of 110 at the end of their 20 overs.

In reply, New Zealand were placed in a good position where they were 40 for the loss of two wickets at one stage.
