Manudi to lead SL Girls’ U-19 to Australia

Manudi Nanayakkara of Princess of Wales College, Moratuwa will Captain the 16-member Sri Lanka Girls’ Under-19 Squad for the forthcoming Australia tour, which has been approved by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs.
The 16-member squad comprises five girls from Devapthiraja College, Rathgama and also includes Limansa Tillekeratne - the daughter of former Sri Lanka national player Tillekeratne Dilshan.


The team is scheduled to take wing on September 16 and will play in a Tri-Series with New Zealand Under-19 and Australia Under-19 
During the tour, the Girls will play both T20 and 50 over games and Sri Lanka’s campaign in the Tri-Nation series will commence on September 20.
The Sri Lanka Girls’ Under-19 Squad: Manudi Nanayakkara (Captain - Princess of Wales College), Rashmika Sewwandi (Vice-Captain - Anura Vidyalaya, Matara), Sumudu Nisansala (Devapathiraja College, Rathgama), Sanjana Kavindi (Devapathiraja College, Rathgama), Vimoksha Balasuriya (Sinhala MV, Trincomalee), Rashmi Nethranjali (Devapathiraja College, Rathgama), Erandi Hansamali (Wadduwa Central College, Wadduwa), Pramudi Methsara (Uhana Central College, Ampara), Hiruni Hansika (Devapathiraja College, Rathgama), Chamodi Praboda (Pagnananda MV, Monaragala), Dahami Sanethma (Anula Vidyalaya, Nugegoda), Asheni Thalagune (Mahamaya Balika MV, Kandy), Shehara Induwari (Devapathiraja College, Rathgama), Danuli Thennekoon (Maliyadewa Balika MV, Kurunegala), Nethagi Isuranjali (Devapthiraja College, Rathgama) and Limansa Thilakarathne.
