Maris Stella College Negombo and A. Rathnayaka MMV Walala emerged boys’ and girls’ overall champions at the Ritzbury Schools Relay Carnival 2023 held at Sugathadasa Stadium, Colombo on Monday.
More than 4,000 athletes representing 200 schools participated in this championship conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Athletics Association.
The championship is sponsored by CBL International Food Pvt Ltd.
The boys’ overall runner-up of this tournament went to Trinity College, Kandy and the girls’ overall runner-up to Lyceum International School, Wattala.

- Under 12 Boys’: Champion - St. Peter's College, Colombo, Runner-up - Royal College, Colombo, Third place - Maris Stella College, Negombo.
- Under 12 Girls’: Champion - Musaeus College, Colombo, Runner-up - Nimala Mariya, Ja-Ela/ Southland College, Galle, Third place - Lyceum International, Panadura.
- Under 14 Boys': Champion - Loyala College, Negombo, Runner-up - Trinity College, Kandy, Third place - St. Joseph's Vaz College, Wennappuwa.
- Under 14 Girls': Champion - Dharmapala Vidyalaya, Pannipitiya, Runner-up - Ave Maria Convent, Negombo, Third place - Ananda National School, Chilaw.
- Under 16 Boys’: Champion - Maris Stella College, Negombo, Runner-up - Sir John Kothalawala NS, Kurunegala, Third place - Gateway College, Rajagiriya
