Mathew, Wellalage spin Sri Lanka Under 19 to final

Sri Lanaka U19 recoded a 22-run win over Pakistan U19

Spinners Treveen Mathew and skipper Dunith Wellalage shared seven wickets between them to guide Sri Lanka to record a 22-run win over Pakistan in the semi-final encounter of the Under 19 Asia Cup cricket tournament played at Dubai yesterday to advance to the the final. 

 
The low scoring encounter saw Sri Lanka Under 19 taking first lease of the wicket being bowled out for 147 runs and Sri Lanka Under 19’s spin duo Mathew and Wellalage combined with effect to bundle out the Pakistan Under 19 for a low score of 125 runs.  


In the other semi final between India Under 19 and Bangladesh Under 19 the former coasted to a comfortable 103-run win to advance to the final. India Under 19 will face Sri Lanka Under 19 in the final scheduled to be played today.
