Minister approves 153-member contingent for Asian Games

Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe yesterday approved to allow a total team of 153 including athletes, officials and coaches to participate in the Hangzhou Asian Games.
The 2022 Asian Games, postponed due to Corona, are scheduled to be held in Hangzhou, China from September 23 to October 6.
Accordingly, the National Selection Committee of Sri Lanka (NSCSL) has selected 62 players and 34 players to represent the Asian Games in  20 disciplines./

In addition, 20 managers and 24 trainers, six medical team members, and seven National Olympic Committee officials have been included in the contingent.
