NCC, Moors SC, BRC, Bloomfield enter semis

Major Club T20 Quarter Finals

NCC along with Moors SC, BRC and Bloomfield qualified to the semi finals of the Major Club T20 tournament by coming out on top in the quarter finals played yesterday.  
NCC recorded a win by 11 runs on D/L method against Colts CC while Moors SC overcame Ace Capital CC by six wickets and BRC secured a thrilling two run win over Tamil Union in a match that was curtailed to eight overs. The match between Bloomfield and CCC which was scheduled to be played in the evening session at P Sara Stadium was abandoned without a ball being bowled but Bloomfield qualified after the toss of a coin  
The two semi finals are scheduled to be played on June 26th and the final to take place on June 28. All matches will be played at the P. Sara Stadium.

At SSC – NCC won by 11 runs on D/L
Colts CC 170 for 9 in 20 overs (Yashoda Lanka 77, Dinesh Chandimal 38, Sanoj Dharshika 21: Matheesha Pathirana 2/19, Lasith Embuldeniya 2/22, Chamika Karunaratne 2/28, Dushmantha Chameera 2/37)  
NCC 140 for 6 in 15.3 overs (Niroshan Dickwella 25, Lahru Udara 22, Chamika Karunaratne 48 n.o.: Sanoj Dharshika 3/17, Akila Dhananjaya 2/18)  

At P Sara Stadium – Moors SC won by six wickets
Ace Capital CC 111 for 9 in 20 overs (Pawantha Weerasinghe 48, Ravindu Ratnayake 30 n.o.: Dinuka Dilshan 3/6, Ramesh Mendis 2/14)  
Moors SC 115 for 4 in 18.5 overs (Dinuka Dilshan 24, Pasindu Sooriyabandara 32 n.o., Ramesh Mendis 32 n.o.)  

At SSC – BRC won by two runs
BRC 66 for 5 in 8 overs ( Tharindu Ratnayake 2/8)  
Tamil Union 64 for 8 in 8 overs (Sithara Hapuhinna 27: Murvin Abinash 2/8, Movin Subasinghe 2/22).
