NFSL Election Committee hand greenlight to 22 candidates

The three-member Election Committee of the Netball Federation of Sri Lanka (NFSL) for 2024–26 has accepted 22 out of the 23 nominations submitted for the annual general meeting, which will be held on May 30 at the Duncan White Auditorium of the Ministry of Sports in Colombo, commencing at 10 a.m.
The three-member NFSL Election Committee includes retired High Court Judge Wimal Nambuhewa (Chairman), C. Rathnamudali, and Padmajina Siriwardhana.
The NFSL Election Committee received objections for the nominations of the current NFSL President Lakshmi Victoria, T. M. P. Kumarihami (Vice President), Sanjeewani Wanasingha (Secretary), Vajira Neththikumra (Deputy President), and S. Suranthani (Vice President).
Out of them, the objection filed against the candidate S. Suranthani was accepted by the NFSL Election Committee, and the rest of the objections were disregarded.
The nominations list approved by the NFSL Election Committee:
President (one post): Thamara Dharmakeerthi Herath, Lakshmi Victoria, and Olivia Gamage
Deputy President (one post): Vajira Neththikumara and Champa Ranjani
Vice President: (four posts): Shiromi Kuruppu, T. M. P. Kumarihami, Thanuja Dissanayaka, Kumuduni Gomes, Champa Gunawardena, Thamara Liyanage, and Ranjana Cristalin
Secretary (one post): Sanjeewani Wanasingha and Renuka Kuruppu
Assistant Secretary (one post): I. P. G. S. Gunawardena and Shayma Cooray
Treasurer (one post): Padmini Horanage and M. J. K. S. Jayasuriya
Assistant Treasurer (one post): B.D. Sumithra and E. K. A. Himali
Tournament Secretary (one post): Maduwanthi Perera and Priyanka Peiris
