The National Shooting Sports Federation of Sri Lanka (NSSF) will conduct the NSSF Trap National Championship 2021 at the Clay Target Shooting Club of Colombo’s Shotgun Range in Payagala, Kalutara from November 4 to 7.
This will be the first national-level event to be conducted by the NSSF after the outbreak of COVID-19 caused a long seizure of sporting events in the country.
Under the leadership of Shirantha Peiris and purview of experts Mohan Gilbert as Competition Director and Dinesh Lionel as Assistant Competition Director, the Trap Nationals 2021 will be a highlight from the NSSF.
“The NSSF Trap and Skeet Open competitions were held earlier this year and it was a great success. We have been receiving many entries and all are eager to take part, which will promise a good competition” stated Pradeep Edirisinghe, General Secretary of NSSF.
The overall winner of the individual event of the NSSF Trap Nationals 2021 will receive a Gold Medal and a certificate while the next top two finishers will receive Silver and Bronze Medals respectively with certificates.
The winners of the Team event will also receive a similar set of awards. In addition to the two main events Youth/Junior, Open, Ladies and Masters Categories are also slotted to take place depending on the number of entries received.
