Nambuwasam to head NFSL Election Committee

The Netball Federation of Sri Lanka (NFSL) has appointed a three-member election committee targeting the 2024-2025 netball elections at the NFSL Special General Meeting held in Colombo.  
All national sports associations must conduct their elections before May 31 under the rules and regulations of the sports ministry.  
Therefore, the NFSL Election Committee is set to call for nominations for the elections in May and the date for the elections will be announced in the coming weeks.   
The NFSL Election Committee includes High Court Judge (Retired) Wimal Nambuwasam (Chairman), C. Rathnamudali and Padmajina Siriwardhana.  
Meanwhile, the NFSL Constitution has been amended and the NFSL executive committee has been increased to 11 from the previous six members.  
Therefore, the NFSL elections will be held to appoint the president (1), deputy president (1), vice presidents (4), secretary (1), assistant secretary (1) treasurer (1) assistant treasurer (1) and tournament secretary (1) under the new Constitution.   
The current President of the NFSL Lakshmi Victoria is set to contest the upcoming netball elections.
