National Carrom Team calls on Prime Minister

The Sri Lankan National Carrom Team met Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya at the Prime Minister’s Office in Colombo ahead of the Carrom World Cup, which will be held in the USA.

Eight competitors (men and women) along with the team manager will participate, representing Sri Lanka, in the Sixth Carrom World Cup in San Francisco, California, from November 10-17.

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has provided financial assistance of LKR five million for this tour, and SLC Treasurer Sujeewa Godaliyadda also participated in this event to symbolically award the same.

Ranil Abeysinghe will be the team manager, and the Sri Lanka Men’s Carrom Team includes Mohammad Shaheed, Anas Ahmed, Kaveen Peiris, and Dinesh Fernando, while the Sri Lanka Women’s Carrom Team includes Roshitha Waduge, Hirushi Peiris, Tarushi Weerasekera, and Thasmila Kavindi.
