National Super League Galle, Kandy, Dambulla, Jaffna advance to semis

Galle along with Kandy, Dambulla and Jaffna qualified for the semi-finals at the completion of the four-day National Super League tournament round-robin matches yesterday .   
The two matches concluded yesterday at the Galle Stadium and Sooriyawewa Stadium respectively were hampered by rain. Galle and Dambulla recorded easy first inning wins against Jaffna and Colombo.   

The highlights of the proceedings were the two tons by skipper Lahiru Madushanka who made 194 in 238 balls including 21 boundaries and six sixes for Jaffna and Minod Bhanuka who made a 216-ball unbeaten knock of 186 inclusive of 19 boundaries and three sixes for Dambulla. (MSA)
