National Super League Galle down Jaffna by 235 runs

Galle recorded a convincing outright win of 235 runs over Jaffna in the four day National Super League tournament concluded at Sooriyawewa Stadium yesterday.

Jaffna coming into the field from their overnight score of 37 runs and needing a further 405 runs for a win was never going to be in the run chase as apart from Dhananjaya de Silva who made 86 the other’s failed to make an impression and they bowled out for 206 runs.

Kandy escaped defeat but succeeded to pull off a well deserved first inning win over Dambulla in another match concluded at the Rangiri Dambulla Stadium.
