Dambulla cruised through to their fourth successive win of the National Super League limited over tournament with a convincing 76 - run win over Jaffna in the match played at the Rangiri Dambulla Stadium yesterday.

Dambulla taking first lease of th e wicket helped by a knock of 66 made by Lahiru Samarakoon made a modest score of 233 runs.

Jaffna in their run chase revised to 226 runs fell into deep trouble as they were struggling on 125 for 8 having faced 25 overs before the match was stopped due to bad light which ensured a convincing win for Dambulla.

Meanwhile a swashbuckling quick fire knock of 167 in just 133 balls inclusive of 13 boundaries and five sixes by Lasith Croospulle against Colombo played at the Pallekele Stadium was in vain.

Lasith’s knock saw Kandy taking first lease of the wicket making a formidable score of 308 for 9 after which the match was called off due heavy rain.
