National Super League T10 Final: Pasindu steers Galle to title victory

A swashbuckling 17 ball knock of 53 inclusive of a boundary and half a dozen sixes by Pasindu Sooriyabandara paved the way for Galle to record a thrilling six wicket win with four balls to spare over Kandy in the final of the National Super League T10 tournament played at Reid Avenue.  

Sooriyabandara shared an unbroken partnership of 60 runs for the fifth wicket with Oshada Fernando who made 18 for Galle chasing a challenging run score of 126 runs to race to the target with four balls to spare which helped them to clinch the title.  

Earlier Kandy taking first lease of the wicket lost three early wickets and was struggling on 12 for 3 in the second over before skipper Sahan Arachchige who made a quick fire 55 in 29 balls with two sixes and five sixes and Ahan Wickramasinghe cracking an unbeaten 52 in 23 balls with five boundaries and three sixes rescued the side with a valuable 107 runs for the fourth wicket to end with a score of 125 for 4 which proved to be in vain. Sooriyabandara for his match winning knock was adjudged the man of the match.
