The nominations for the suspended Netball Federation of Sri Lanka (NFSL) will be accepted from today until June 28, the five-member NFSL Election Committee announced yesterday.
The NFSL election for the period of 2024–26 will be held on July 25, and all objections should be submitted between June 29 and July 3.
The five-member NFSL Election Committee will be headed by Retired High Court Judge Sarath Edirisinghe, and the other members are Padmajina Siriwardena (Retired Additional Secretary), C. Rathnamudali (Retired Director-Sports), I.M. Ranasinghe (Senior Lecturer), and N.A.T. Jayasinghe (Retired Superintendent of Police).
Earlier, the NFSL elections were scheduled for May 30 at the Duncan White Auditorium, but it was suspended by the Minister of Sports, Harin Fernando, due to the exclusion of voting rights for the NFSL-affiliated Jaffna and Colombo Districts.

The NFSL administration is currently under the supervision of the Director General of the Sports Development Department of the Ministry of Sports, Professor Shemal Fernando.
Meanwhile, two former NFSL presidents, Tamara Dharmakeerthi Herath and Lakshmi Victoria, are once again set to contest for the top post, reliable sources revealed yesterday.
In addition, the elections for the Automobile Association will be held on June 24, and the elections for the Cycling Association will be held on July 25 under the direction of the same five-member Election Committee.
