Nippon Paint Katukurunda Speed 2022 on Sunday

Nippon Paint and SLT Mobitel have come on board as title sponsor and co-sponsor respectively to power ‘Nippon Paint Katukurunda Speed 2022’ organized and conducted by the Sri Lanka Automobile Sports (SLAS) the governing body for motorsports in Sri Lanka together with the ten member clubs of SLAS. Will roar off at the Sri Lanka Air Force tarmac at Katukurunda on Sunday (4)   

In addition to Nippon Paint and SLT Mobitel, Exide, Wurth Lanka, Pink Auto Shop, Lockheed, DuLuck and Freelan Industries have come in as supporting sponsors while How To Drive as the recovery partner, Ranparh Creations as the printing partner, Tudo.LK as the digital partner, Glen Tech as the QR partner and MSN as the media partner have come forward to make Nippon Paints Katukurunda Speed 2022 a reality. 

 
SLAS pledged to donate Rupees One Million from the proceeds of the race to the Indira Cancer Trust to highlight the importance of early detection, pallative care and other aspects of cancer treatment and patient care. President of SLAS handed over the pledge to Dr. Lanka Jayasuriya Dissanayake Chairperson and Trustee of ICT in the presence of Brand Ambassador and Trustee of ICT Roshan Mahanama and the media.   

One hundred and twenty nine aspirant drivers are set to vie for a podium finish in the following events: `SLN Cars up to 1300cc - Ford Laser/ Mazda 323 (8 laps), SLE Cars up to 1000cc - One make Nissan March (8 laps), SLH Cars up to 1600cc One make Honda Race 1 (10 laps), SLA Mini 7 (8 laps), SLN Cars up to 1500cc - Ford Laser / Mazda 323 (8 laps), SL GT Cars up to 3500cc -Race 1 (10 laps), SLH Cars up to 2000cc One Make - Subaru Legacy (8 laps), SLE Cars up to 1300cc Ford Laser / Mazda 323 (8 laps), SLA Cars up to 1050cc (8 laps), SL H Cars up to 1600cc One Make - Honda Race 2 (10 laps), Formula McLarens 1300cc (8 laps) and SL GT Cars up to 3500cc -Race 2 (10 laps)
