Nishan steers CCC to winning start

An unbeaten quick fire knock of 122 in just 63 balls inclusive of 15 boundaries and five sixes by opener Nishan Madushka paved the way for CCC to record a convincing nine wickets win over BRC in the Major Club limited over tournament encounter played at the SSC ground.  

BRC taking first lease of the wicket made a score of 182 and CCC thanks to Madushka who shared two valuable partnerships, first an opening wicket stand of 105 runs in only 58 balls and an unbroken 78 runs for the second wicket with Pawan Ratnayake helped them to reach the target in just 18.4 overs to give them a winning start.  

Half tons by Sohan de Livera and Pasindu Sooriyabandara laid the foundation for Moors SC to record an easy 66 run victoryon the D/L method over Kandy Customs CC in the match played at Reid Avenue.  

In the other matches played Police SC along with Badureliya SC and Ragama CC recorded wins over Nugegoda S&WC, Kurunegala YCC and Chilaw Marians CC while the match between Bloomfield and Panadura SC ended in a no result.
