Top class golfer and consistent performer Kusal Johnpillai continued his dominance in the Hill Country when he accounted for the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC) and Club Championship 2022 which took place over the weekend at their club course in Nuwara Eliya.

Johnpillai accumulated 157 score on both days while another veteran in the golf field Suhaib Sangani was runner-up with 164 points. Johnpillai also was in sparkling form taking away the Annual Gold Medal award which is given for the Best Gross score on day one. He had a score of 76 points.

Sangani (A), Johnpillai (B), Rohan Amirthiah (C) and Dr. A Amunugama (Masters) won their respective segments in the Nett events. There were more than 80 golfers who teed off in the three-day event which started off with the Graham Sinclair Cup and continued with the Annual Gold Medal and ended with the main event, the Club Championship.
