Oshada cracks ton, Pakistan make bold reply

Pakistan made a bold response of 160 for 3 in reply to SLC President’s XI score of 196 at the end of the first day’s play in the two day warm up match played at the 
Sooriyawewa Stadium.  


Pakistan reply came on the back of a top knock of 86 in 67 balls inclusive of nine boundaries and three sixes from shan masood who shared two valuable partnerships, first an opening wicket stand of 43 runs with Abdullah Shafique and the other of 92 runs for the second wicket with Imam ul Haq who chipped in with 36.   


Fernando came to the rescue after SLC President’s XI skipper Kamindu Mendis won the toss and elected to take first lease of the wicket losing two early wickets with the score on 31.   
Opener Fernando cracked 113 in 127 balls which included eight boundaries and shared a valuable 88 runs for the third wicket with skipper Mendis. 

 
The separation of the pair saw the hosts losing wickets at regular intervals as they slid from 119 for 3 to 168 for 7 before being bowled out for a modest score of 196 runs. The match will be continued today.
