Over 6,000 athletes in Schools Relay C’ship

Nearly 6,000 athletes from over 150 schools will participate in the second Sri Lanka Inter-Schools Age Group Ritzbury Relay Championships 2024 from July 2 to 4 at the Vincent Dias Stadium in Badulla.   

This is the first time the Inter-Schools Age Group Relay Championships are held outside of Colombo.   

The championship will be held in four different age group categories – Under-12, Under-14, Under-16, Under-18 and Under- 20 with eight finals scheduled for the opening day.   

The events that will be held are the Boys’ and Girls’ Under-14, Under-16, Under-18 and Under-20 4X200m, 4X50m, 4X100m, 4X200m, 4X400m, 4X800m, Medley Relay short distance and Medley Relay long distance.   

Maris Stella College and A. Rathnayaka MMV, Walala emerged as Boys’ and Girls’ champions at the 2023 Inter-Schools Age Group Relay Championships.
