Para Athletics Nationals to be held on June 28, 29 and 30

The National Paralympic Committee of Sri Lanka (NPCSL) has decided to conduct the Para Athletic National Championship on June 28, 29 and 30 at the Sugathadasa Stadium.   

Nearly 500 para athletes are expected to take part in this year’s championship, the majority of them from the Tri-Forces.  The Para Athletic Nationals will serve as a final selection trial for the Asian Para Games.   

The Sri Lanka team would be chosen after the Para Nationals for the Para Asian Games, There are 14 members in the Para athletic pool at present.   

Sri Lanka won a total of 15 medals, 14 from athletics, at the 2018 Jakarta Para Asian Games.
