Former Ananda rugby player (1987/88), Old Anandian Sports Circle President and member of the  Exco of Sri Lanka Rugby, Manjula Samarakoon, who initiated this team, speaking to Daily Mirror said, “Dimbulla and Dickoya were playing in the ‘A’ division tournament in 1970’s and even in early 80’s but later this was stopped.”
