Puwakgolla, Rasheed, Mubeen, Sherifdeen end with unbeaten records

The round robin matches of the 6 Reds National Snooker Championship which concluded at the Billiards and Snooker Association headquarters billiards table saw four more cueists P.M.T. Puwakgolla of Pyramid Snooker Parlour Kandy, M.S.M. Rasheed MICH, M.M. Mubeen and M. Sherifdeen both of Army BC winning their matches to end with an unbeaten record.   

Puwakgolla and Rasheed won their matches with ease while Mubeen underwent some anxious moments before pulling off his win.   

The knockout stage from pre quarter finals will be played over seven frames up to the semi finals on Saturday and the final is scheduled to be played on Sunday which will be over five frames.   

The tournament conducted by the Billiards and Snooker Association of Sri Lanka and sponsored by Malship Group of Companies and fought out for the late Ajward Hashim Memorial Trophy.

Farhan (YMBA Galle) 3-2 (30/34, 41/21, 27/35, 31/25, 35/27). Irshath Thaha (MSC) beat Amir Faris (MICH) 3-0 (44/2, 53/0, 37/11). M.S.M. Rasheed (MICH) beat S.L. Gamage (Army BC) 3-0 (29/13, 43/4, 34/15). Susantha Wickrama (Army BC) beat M.M.M. Haneef (PSP) 3-1 (38/23, 35/42, 51/9, 43/30). H.W.P. Randika (Ratnapura BC) beat A.R.C. Jayatissa (BWB) 3-2 (10/47, 14/50, 37/26, 42/13, 41/33).
