Ranithma shines at Bendigo International

Sri Lanka’s rising badminton star Ranithma Liyanage emerged victorious in the Women’s Singles round of 32 at the 2023 Bendigo International Tournament in Australia on Wednesday.
The event, boasting a generous prize pool of US$ 15,000 and categorised as an International Challenge event, has attracted top talent from across the globe.

Liyanage showcased her exceptional talent by defeating Australia’s Ira Sameer Acharya 21-7, 21-4.

The tournament is organised by Badminton Australia in collaboration with the Bendigo-Eaglehawk Badminton Association and has received official sanctions from Badminton Oceania and the Badminton World Federation (BWF).

Simultaneously, another Sri Lankan talent, Aashinsa Herath, is taking part in the 8th Egypt International Championship which commenced at the Cairo International Stadium yesterday.
