Razwin Carrim of Lyceum International, Panadura and Dinara Bandara of Gateway College, Colombo won the Best Boys and Girls Athletes Award respectively at the 21st International Schools Athletics Championship (ISAC) held at Sugathadasa Stadium yesterday.
Razwin Carrim won the U-20 Boys Long Jump leaping 6.91 metres while Dinara Bandara won the U-20 Girls 200m clocking 24.87 seconds.
In addition, Dinara Bandara also won the Best Performance of ISAC Award.
A total of 22 new meet records were set in the 2023 ISAC tournament where Lyceum International, Wattala emerged overall champions winning 99 medals comprising 44 gold, 35 silver and 20 bronze medals.
This is the 13th time Lyceum International won the overall championship in the history of ISAC. Gateway College, Colombo have won it seven times.
Gateway College, Colombo were placed second at the 2023 ISAC winning 22 gold, 12 silver and 14 bronze medals.
Lyceum International, Panadura claimed third place winning 35 medals.
The 2021 and 2022 ISAC was not held due to corona and around 1,800 athletes from 23 International Schools participated in this tournament.
