Revaan clinches Boys’ U-12 tennis title

Revaan Amarasinghe emerged as the Boys’ Under-12 Singles champion in the 109th National Tennis Championship when he defeated Shannon Senadeera 2-0 in the final played at the SLTA Courts in Green Path, Colombo yesterday.
Meanwhile, in the Boys’ Under-14 Singles Nevan Kannangara, Mayooran Kubherane, Ashlin de Silva and Damsath Peiris won their respective quarter-final encounters to advance to the semi-finals.

Boys’ Under-12 Singles (Final): Revaan Amarasinghe beat Shannon Senadeera 6-1, 6-2.  
Boys’ Under-14 Singles (Quarter-finals): Nevan Kannangara beat Rahil Rizvie 6-3, 6-1. Mayooran Kubherane beat Yudeeraya Atapattu 6-1, 6-4.  Ashlin de Silva beat Risith Somaratne 6-4, 7-6. Damsath Peiris beat Parvesh Sivapalan 6-3, 6-4.
