Romesh Mendis slams tournament-highest score

 S. Thomas’ College batsman Romesh Mendis slammed the highest knock of the ongoing Under 19 inter-school limited over cricket tournament when he made a quick-fire 166 in only 139 balls inclusive of 12 boundaries and six sixes, paving the way for his side to record a massive 225-run win over De Mazenod Kandana in the match played at Kandana.

 Meanwhile Mahinda College Galle and Maris Stella Negombo overcame St. Aloysius College Galle and Zahira Colombo to record their fifth win of the tournament while Pavan Sudesh, who cracked his second ton, shone in Devapathiraja MMV’s close win over Lumbini MV.
