Royal, Bishop’s dominate Age Group Diving Meet

Royal College and Bishop’s College took major honours at the 46th National Age Group Diving Championships, which concluded at the Sugathadasa Stadium Swimming Pool Complex in Colombo yesterday.

Royal completely dominated the Boys’ Championship in this 3-day meet and finished well ahead in the overall tally, collecting 223 points to emerge overall champions.

Angel Swimming and Diving Academy emerged runners-up with a total of 44 points and they were followed by Royal College Union Aquatic Club (42), S. Thomas’ College (33) and St. Peter’s College (17).

Meanwhile, Bishop’s College dominated the Girls’ Championship as they finished well ahead with a tally of 143 points.

St. Bridget’s Convent were placed second with 108 points and they were followed by Visakha Vidyalaya (30), Ladies’ College (15) and Sirimavo Bandaranaike BMV (12).
