Royalist Sineth Jayawardene to lead Sri Lanka U19 against West Indies

Sineth Jayawardene of Royal College Colombo has been selected to lead the Sri Lanka Under 19 for the forthcoming Test and ODI matches against the visiting West Indies U19 who have already arrived in the island.   
The Sri Lanka Under 19 squad comprises of nine players namely skipper Jayawardene, Malsha Tharupathi, Dinura Kalupahana, Vihas Thewmika, Vishen Halambage, Hiran Jayasundara, Vishva Lahiru, Garuka Sanketh and Vishwa Rajapaksa who were members of the Sri Lanka U19 team that played the Tri-Nation series held at the United Arab Emirates.   
The team comprises of two players each from St. Joseph Vaz Wennappuwa, St. Peter’s Colombo and Trinity and one each from Royal Colombo, Richmond, Mahinda, Thurstan, Lyceum IS Wattala, Sri Sumangala Panadura, St. Anthony’s Katugastota, Dharmaraja, St. Benedict’s, P. de S. Kularatne MV Ambalangoda, Dharmasoka MV Ambalangoda, Ananda and St. Joseph’s.   
Before the proper start of the official matches the visiting West Indies Under 19 will play a warm up match on August 25 at the CCC ground. The tour will start with the three ODI’s from August 27 to be played at the Rangiri Dambulla Stadium which will be followed by the two Test matches from September 5 which will also be played at the 
same venue.
