SABA Championship 2021 Sri Lanka finish second, book 2025 FIBA qualifiers berth

Sri Lanka ended runners-up at the South Asian Basketball Association (SABA) Championships 2021 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Favourites India secured their sixth title after claiming the top spot with six points. Sri Lanka secured five points from their maximum of three outings as they defeated Bangladesh 67-56 and the Maldives 77-45 while going down to India 48-114. Both India and Sri Lanka also qualified to play in the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers. Sri Lanka entered this year’s edition as defending champions after winning the trophy in 2018
