SL Women’s Baseball Squad Selected

The Sri Lanka National Women’s  Baseball squad for the 2022 season was selected by the Sri Lanka Amateur  Baseball Association last week at the Diyagama Mahinda Rajapaksa Baseball  Stadium in Homagama. 
The 30-player squad was selected out  of a total of 60 participants who took part from five Baseball Clubs. 
This is the first time in history  that a Women’s National squad was selected and the team will now prepare for  the Invitational tournament which is set to be hosted by Pakistan Baseball in  the coming months. 
“This is a good chance for the ladies  to perform on the international stage, especially with the likes of  powerhouse Pakistan. They will gain invaluable experience which will help  them get better as Baseball players,” an official of the Sri Lanka Amateur  Baseball Association said.
