SL to host SA Junior Meet in Colombo

The Fourth South Asian Junior Athletics Championship conducted by Sri Lanka Athletics (SLA) in collaboration with the South Asian Athletics Federation (SAAF) will be held on May 19 and 20 at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo.  

Competitors from seven South Asian countries have already confirmed their participation for this meet, which will be held to mark the Centenary of SLA.  

Over 350 athletes from the South Asian region are set to compete at this meet.  

This will be the third occasion that Sri Lanka are hosting the event after they successfully conducted the meet in 2007 and 2018.  

Meanwhile, SLA will conduct a special selection trial on January 23 and 24 at the Sugathadasa Stadium, targeting the South Asian Junior Athletics Championship.
