SL wins 23 medals at Asia Pacific and African Power-lifting C’ship 2023

Sri Lanka won 23 medals at the Asia Pacific and African Power-lifting  Bench Press Equipped and Class Championship 2023.
Sri Lanka was represented by 14 lifters for this tournament held in Hong Kong with the participation of 12 countries.
Sri Lanka won three Gold, 16 Silver and four Bronze medals in this tournament for which the Sri Lanka Power-lifting Federation did not get any sponsorship.
The international medalists met Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe upon returning to the island. 
Sri Lanka’s power-lifters have won medals at World Championship, Asian Championship and several other International events but say their feats have not gained any national recognition.
