SLC Appoints Five Provincial Selectors

Sri Lanka Cricket has appointed five selectors who will be responsible in picking players for the forthcoming SLC Invitation T20 League 2020 slotted to get underway on August 8.  

The five selectors comprise of Ajith Ekanayake, Suwanji Madanayake, Duminda Wickramasinghe, Nalliah Devarajan and Chandana Guruge, who are all experienced and notable figures in the local cricket arena.  
Ekanayake represented Kurunegala at the domestic cricket tournaments and was also the former assistant spin coach of SLC while Madanayake was one of the top allrounders in the domestic having represented major clubs in Sri Lanka, Wickramasinghe an old boy of Mahinda Galle represented Galle CC and was a junior selector, Devarajan an old Royalist was well respected match referee and Guruge was also a junior cricket selector.  
Chief selector of SLC Pramodya Wickramasinghe will also be involved along with the five provincial selectors and the main focus will be on the Major Club limited over tournament which is progress now and will be one of the criteria in selecting the 60 players and apart from that the selectors will also focus on hidden talent and up and coming youngsters around the island.
