SLC National Super League Ashan, Chamindu crack half tons

Half tons by Ashan Priyanjan and Chamindu Wijesinghe were the highlights of the first day’s play in the National Super League Provincial four day encounter between Dambulla and Colombo played at the R. Premadasa Stadium.


Priyanjan made 61 which had eight boundaries and a six and associated in a 77-run stand for the third wicket with Leo Fransisco while Chamindu remained unbeaten on 54 for Dambulla. 


Colombo in their turn ended the day on 46 for no loss in reply to Dambulla’s score of 277.


Half tons by Oshada Fernando and Lahiru Udara saw Kandy taking first lease of the wicket and end day one on 243 for 5 against Jaffna before bad light put a stoppage to the proceedings in the match played at Pallekele. The matches will be continued today.
