Following the record 317-run defeat to India in the third ODI at Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has asked the manager of the national team to submit a report with views on the reasons behind the loss.

"The report should consist of views of the Captain, the Head Coach, and the Selection Panel and also the Team Manager pertaining to the loss," SLC said in a media release.
"SLC has requested the Team Manager to submit the ‘Report,’ within a 5-day period. The report will enable Sri Lanka Cricket to review and understand the background to
the team’s dismal performances during the final ODI, which it lost by 317 runs after being bowled out in 22 overs," it also read.

Meanwhile, Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe has forwarded the report handed to him by the T20 World Cup fact-finding committee, to the Attorney General to seek necessary recommendations for taking further action.

In the report, the committee covers the incident involving Danushka Gunathilaka who was arrested on charges of sexual assault, Chamika Karunaratne’s disciplinary breach, the impact of the ‘Born again’ sect on the national cricket team, and matters linked to financial irregularities among other matters.
