SLHF invited for Singapore Hockey Tournament

The Sri Lanka Hockey Federation (SLHF) has received an invitation from the Singapore Hockey Association (SHA) to participate in the Four-Nation Invitation Men’s and Women’s Hockey Tournament, scheduled for December in Singapore.  

Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Hong Kong and hosts Singapore are set to compete in this tournament.   
The SLHF has officially accepted the invitation from the SHA, but SLHF President P. Vishwanathan said that their decision whether to participate in both tournaments or only in the Men’s Tournament will be made at the next Executive Committee Meeting.  

The SLHF has already planned to form a 40-member national pool targeting this tournament and the Asian Games, soon after next month’s Men’s Senior Nationals in Colombo and the Women’s Senior Nationals, scheduled for October in Badulla.  

Sri Lanka have qualified to participate in both the Men’s and Women’s Tournaments of the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
