SLNF invites applications for SL Netball Coach

The Sri Lanka Netball Federation (SLNF) will accept applications for the post of national coach 2022 until December 22, 2021.  

The current national coach Somitha de Alwis was appointed to the post in July 2020 while targeting the 2020 Asian Senior Netball Championships in South Korea, which was however put off due to the pandemic.  

The Sri Lanka Netball Team could not compete in any international tournament or conduct any training sessions for the past two years due to the pandemic and Somitha’s contract is set to expire on December 31, 2021.  
 SLNF Secretary Kumuduni Gomes said that the new national coach will be appointed in January and her main goal will be the Asian Championships in September.  

Sri Lanka emerged champions when the Asian Senior Netball Championships was last held in Singapore.
