SLPA, Air Force claim Super League VB titles

Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) Sports Club and Air Force Sports Club clinched the Men’s and Women’s Super League titles respectively at the Munchee National Volleyball Championship finals worked off at the National Youth Services Centre (NYSC) in Maharagama yesterday (16).

SLPA SC defeated Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) SC 3-0 (25-21, 26-24 and 25-17) in the Men’s final while Air Force SC beat Army SC 3-0 (27-25, 25-18 and 27-25) in the Women’s final.

Meanwhile, United SC, Nattandiya beat Golden Birds SC, Kurunegala 3-2 (25-18, 27-25, 21-25, 16-25 and 15-11) in the Men’s Novices final.

In addition, Hirdaramani SC, Polonnaruwa beat Rathanapala SC, Mahauswewa 3-1 (25-15, 22-25, 25-16 and 25-13) in the Women’s Novices final.

Best Setter – Priyadharshani Wijesinghe - (Hirdaramani SC).

Best Attacker - A. S. Sewmini (Rathanapala SC).

Best Player – Harshani Senaratne (Hirdramani SC).
