SLTA Yeti Hard Court Nationals: Revan, Sethuli emerge Under-12 champions

Revan Amarasinghe and Sethuli Muthugama emerged as the Under-12 boys and girls singles champions, respectively, of the SLTA Yeti Hard Court Tennis Nationals when they came out victorious in the two finals played at the SLTA tennis courts in Greenpath, Colombo, yesterday. The two finals went the full three sets, with Revan overcoming Shannon Senadheera and Sethuli getting the better of Sanuthi Wong, who was forced to retire due to an injury. Meanwhile, in the second women’s open singles semi-final encounter, Dinara de Silva coasted to an easy two sets to nil win over Oneli Samarawickrama, and she will now meet Rukshika Wijesuriya. 
In the Girls Under-18 semi-finals, Yuhansa Peiris and Inuki Jayaweera won their respective matches against Gehansa Methnadi and Sandathi Usgodaarachchi by two sets to nil to advance to the final.

Girls’ U-12: Sethuli Muthugama beat Sanuthi Wong 2-1 (2/6, 6/3, 1/0 Wong retired)
Boys’ U-12: Revan Amarasinghe beat Shannon Senadheera 2-1 (5/7, 6/3, 7/5)


Semi-finals: 
Women’s Open: Dinara de Silva beat Oneli Samarawickrama 2-0 (6/1, 6/2)
Girls’ U-18: Yuhansa Peiris beat Gehansa Methnadi 2-0 (6/1, 6/2). Inuki Jayaweera beat Sandathi Usgodaarachchi 2-0 (7/5, 6/1)
