SSC Open Tennis Jayabandu clinches Boys U14 title

Lithum Jayabandu clinched the Boys Under 14 singles title of the First Capital SSC Open Tennis tournament with a hard fought two sets to one win over Methika Wickramasinghe in the final played at the SSC tennis courts in Maitland Place.

In the Boys Under 16 singles quarter finals which were played concurrently Methwan Wijemanne and Raveen de Aliws won their matches. The tournament will be continued today.

Boys Under 14 – Lithum Jayabandu beat Methika Wickramasinghe 2-1 (6/3, 2/6, 12/10).
Quarter Finals:
Boys Under 16 – Methwan Wijemanne beat Sandas Usgodaarachchi 2-0 (6/4, 7/6(6). Raveen de Alwis beat Louis Knese 2-0 (6/1, 6/1).
