Sabaragamuwa trounce Rajarata for third win

gamuwa trounced Rajarata by four goals to one in Stage five of the Independence Trophy Ceylon Provincial League 2022 Football Tournament at Bogambara Stadium in Kandy yesterday.

This is the third win for Sabaragamuwa while Rajarata suffered their third defeat.

M.N.M. Shifan (fifth minute), A.H.M. Mushfik (66), M.J.M.Ijaz (76) and  M.S.M. Rasan (85) were the goal scorers for Sabaragamuwa. Asikur Rahman pulled one back for Rajarata in the 89th minute.

Northern and Eastern played out a goalless draw in another match at Jayatilleke Stadium, Nawalapitiya.

3.00 p.m. Western vs Uva at Bogambara

3.00 p.m. Central vs Southern at Nawalapitiya
