Sambo Nationals to begin tomorrow

The 4th Sambo National Championships 2022, conducted by the Sambo Federation of Sri Lanka (SFSL) will commence tomorrow (21) at the Ibbagamuwa MMV Indoor Stadium.  

This is the first time the Sambo Nationals has been held since 2017.   

The National Championship will be held in three age group categories for Men, Women, Boys’, and Girls’.  
The three age groups will be separated to those who are born in 2011, 2012 and 2013, those who are born in 2008, 2009 and 2010 and for those who are born in 2003 and 2004.   

The SFSL is also hoping to form a National Pool soon after the completion of the tournament.  
There are over 300 Sambo competitors in Sri Lanka representing 12 different clubs affiliated to the SFSL.
