Sanija and Hansani clinch Novices TT titles

Sanija Thulmin of St. Peter’s College, Colombo and Hansani Prabodha of Air Force clinched the Men’s and Women’s Novices titles respectively at the All-Island Intermediate/Novices Table Tennis Championship – 2024 held at the Indoor Stadium in Bandaragama.   
 The tournament was conducted by the 82 Batch of OBA of St. John’s College, Nugegoda in collaboration with the Premadasa Sports Foundation to mark the 109th year celebrations of St. John’s College, Nugegoda.

Under-7 Boys’ Singles: Janiru Inham (Horizon International) beat Yethuka Thathsara (D. S. Senanayake, Colombo) 12-10, 9-11, 11-6.   
Under-7 Girls’ Singles: Senuli Angel (St. Lawrence’s Convent, Colombo) beat M. F. F. Deena (Muslim Ladies’ College, Galle) 11-9, 6-11, 12-10.   
Under-9 Boys’ Singles: Taven Samaraweera (S. Thomas’, Mount Lavinia) beat Viran Walawwaththa (Udugampola Primary) 8-11, 11-6, 11-2.   
Under-9 Girls’ Singles: Minthuli Lithara (Prajapathi Gothami Girls’ College, Ambalangoda) beat Hirudya Abeykoon (Girls’ High School, Kandy) 11-6, 11-5.   
Under-11 Boys’ Singles: N. G. A. Arunalu (Ananda, Colombo) beat Sandaru Viduranga (Christ Church Boys’ College, Baddegama) 11-6, 9-11, 11-6.   
Under-11 Girls’ Singles: Thinuli Thiyansa (Buddhist Ladies’ College, Colombo) beat Diseni Bandarage (Girls’ High School, Kandy) 11-8, 11-3.
