Schools 7s Rugby live on Dialog Television

Due to  the present COVID-19 pandemic, the Dialog Schools Rugby 7s tourney will be  played behind closed doors, hence as the principal sponsor, Dialog Axiata PLC  has made arrangements to broadcast the tournament LIVE on Dialog Television –  Channel 140, Dialog ViU,Thepapare.com and also on the Asia Rugby FB page in  the interest of all present and old boys, parents, supporters, well-wishers  and the Sri Lanka’s rugby-loving community as the tournament will  played behind closed doors.

Well-wishers  will also get the opportunity to vote for the most popular team from each  province on their respective match days by visiting dlg.lk/mostpopular,  the winning team will be announced before the Cup Final in each province and  will be rewarded with Rs. 50,000 gift voucher to purchase sports equipment.

Western,  Central, North-Western and Southern provinces will be playing the tourney in  a group format, with the top finishers from the  groups challenging one another in the knockout stage,  while the Sabaragamuwa teams will be playing each other in a league  structure to decide the provincial champion.

Western  Province games will be played on the 18th and 19th of  December 2021 at the Royal College Sports Complex, Central Province games  will be played on the 27th of December 2021 at the Pallekele  Grounds, Kandy, North Western games will be played on the 28th of  December 2021 at the Maliyadewa College Grounds, Kurunegala, the Sabaragamuwa  Province games will be played on the 30thth of December 2021  at the Ruwanwella Public Grounds, and the Southern Province games will be  played on the 31st of December at the Maliyadewa College  Grounds, Kurunegala. Transmission for all games will commence from 8.50 am  onwards.
