Schools’ hockey tournaments to recommence in June

The Sri Lanka Schools Hockey Association (SLSHA) has got approval from the Education Ministry to conduct the 2022 Sri Lanka Schools Hockey and Inter-District Combined Schools Hockey tournaments in June in Kandy.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, a single school hockey tournament was not held in 2020 or 2021.
SLSHA hopes to conduct four age-group tournaments apart from the combined school hockey tournament.
These tournaments (for girls and boys) are the Under-20 in Colombo and the Under-18 in Matale in July, followed by the Under-16 in Badulla and the Under-14 in Kandy in August.

The junior and senior pool for girls and boys will be selected after these tournaments, to represent Sri Lanka Schools at the Junior and Senior Nationals conducted by the Sri Lanka Hockey Federation.
