The Netball Federation of Sri Lanka (NFSL) will be conducting the second selection trial on April 26 at the Indoor Stadium, Bandaragama, commencing at 8.30 a.m.

It was earlier scheduled to be held on April 18 but was postponed because the selection committee had not been approved by the Sports Minister.

The NFSL has sent 10 nominations to the Sports Ministry and expects to get approval today or tomorrow.
The second trial is in view of the 12th Asian Netball Championship to be held from September 3-10 in Singapore.
The 24-member national pool is expected to be pruned down to 18.

Netball Asia expects 12 countries -- Brunei, Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Maldives, Pakistan, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, and Sri Lanka -- to participate in the Asian Netball Championship.
Sri Lanka won the championship in 2018.
