Senulya bags tennis title in Maldives

Sri Lanka’s Senulya Wijayawardene clinched the Women’s Singles title at the Maldives - Sri Lanka Tennis Challenge held at the Tennis Association Courts of the Maldives.
In an all-Sri Lankan final contest, Senulya, from Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo, defeated her sister Binudi Wijayawardane to emerge as the Women’s champion of the tournament, which was conducted on a round-robin basis.
Earlier in the semi-finals, Senulya beat Maldivian rank number three Nayara Usama Ali 7-5, 5-7, 10-8 in an exciting three-setter.
Meanwhile, in the Women’s Open Doubles final, Senulya and Malsha Mohamed beat Sarah Mohamed and Manha Mohemad Ali in straight sets (6-1, 6-2).
